Abstract Art Inspired by Jacob Lawrence

Service Description

Students will become familiar with Abstract Art and watch a short video about Jacob Lawrence’s famous Migration Series. The students simplify and break down the human figure to create their own original Abstract watercolor inspired by the work of Jacob Lawrence. In this flexible schedule class, students will have the luxury of learning and creating whenever it is convenient for them! The class offers prerecorded videos that you will have access to, as well as instructional handouts, individualized assessments of their work and the opportunity to share their work with other students. Your instructor will check in daily to answer any questions and provide feedback to all students. Your four, easy to follow videos will be dedicated to one art lesson. Time Commitment: 60 minutes - can be done at your own pace Teacher - Stefanie Templeton Supplies Recommended: Watercolor Set OR Water Soluble Magic Markers Watercolor Paper OR White Construction Paper (9"x12") Pencil Eraser An item in your home to make a 1"circle Cup of water  Small - Medium Paint Brush Paper Towel or Napkin * Feel free to substitute any items that are more convenient for you to use. An artist is never limited by their tools, only by their imagination. Our booking is automated. You will be prompted to select a date and time slot of 12 AM. This is strictly for system purposes and does not impact when you can access your class. Classes are on-demand and can be accessed at any time via desktop or mobile devices once you receive your class link.

Cancellation Policy

Online classes cannot be canceled or refunded, once the class link has been emailed to you. In the event of cancellation, In-Person Classes will be refunded 50% of total tuition up until 14 days prior to the 1st day of class. In-Person Classes will not be refunded if canceled within 14 days of 1st day of class. In the event that LYHA must cancel an In-person Class/Course due to unforeseen hazard or circumstances, tuition will be refunded at the pro-rated amount for the number of days left in the class.
